Oh this is cool! I would probably add more detail to the ground, and perhaps darken it to drive the focus to the creature. Very unique rendering style on its body though!

I'm not sure what to make of this. I like the depth you have going on in the lower half of the scene. The clouds are a bit distracting though. Love the lighting :)
