Hold it, Hold it!
The hell? they are robbing us from two of his legs? unbelievable.

Well rumor has it that some new hobbit movies are in the making.
The Hobbit: The Masturbation of Hogg
The Hobbit: The Coagulation of Youag
The Hobbit: The Urination of Woggg
The Hobbit: The Exfoliation of Quagg
The Hobbit: The Exacerbation of Frougg

That is disappointing that they couldn't tell the difference. Should I go see it?

Yeah it's still worth seeing :)

yeah but you have to understand that the film makers are going

"okay, we need to sell this movie, and there is no history of any four legged flying things, so if we make it two winged and 2 legged, then it will be more realistic and believable for the masse"

and i agree he should of been four legged, but alas, I can't change these things. Cool none the less. I liked his face for real.

Well there is history. In the original movie, Smaug has four limbs and a set of wings.

I Haven't read the novel in a long while but i don't remember them ever Identifing the difference between the two. With my very non extensive knowledge of the LOTR lore i think i remember the word dragon being used as more of a blanket term for all large serpent like creatures.

Although if im totally wrong on this one i still believe for cinematic reasons the simplifying of his body was a good choice to add more limbs would made his design look to busy and wouldn't have given off that slender serpently haunting feel nearly aswell.
